Enhanced Games became the talk of the town just after its inaugural season. The event allowed athletes to use prohibited substances and also had an impressive amount of prize money, attracting the attention of the people.

Recently, US Olympian Hunter Armstrong said that multiple athletes had reached out to him and expressed interest in joining the Enhanced Games. A post about the same was shared by SwimSwam on its X (formerly Twitter) account.

Reacting to it, Enhanced Games Co-Founder Christian Angermayer shared a long, detailed message talking about what makes the new event special.

"We are one big family. We genuinely care about our athletes—not just in words, but through our actions. That includes rewarding them with life-changing salaries and prize money and giving them the respect and support they deserve. And some of them have even become shareholders in $ENHA," he wrote.

He also talked about welcoming more high-profile athletes.

"The momentum behind the Enhanced Games is very real. We have crossed an important threshold, and I have no doubt that we will be welcoming several truly high-profile athletes to the roster in the very near future."

Hunter Armstrong has played in the Enhanced Games and earned approximately $375,000 from his two podium finishes. He won the 50 m backstroke, which helped him to earn $250,000, and then stood in second place in the 100 m freestyle.

The Enhanced Games were in controversy for allowing players to use prohibited substances, but some called them "life-changing" for players because of their lucrative prizes.

Ryan Lochte Reflects His Opinion About Enhanced Games

Olympic medalist Ryan Lochte opened up about the Enhanced Games in an interview with Rhiannon O'Donoghue last month. He praised the event for its prize money and said that it is life-changing for players.

“I could see more and more swimmers and athletes moving over to the Enhanced Games because it’s life-changing financial stability. It’s going to be life-changing," he said.

Lochte also reflected on his wish to play in the games.
