Olympian Jack Alexy had a major disappointment ahead of his upcoming swimming event. The 23-year-old Morristown-born swimmer has been preparing to compete this week at the TYR Pro Swim Series Indianapolis, which is scheduled to start on Wednesday, June 17.
Ahead of that, last week, the official social media handle of USA Swimming shared a post on its Instagram account, highlighting its top players competing in the tournament. However, they left out the name of Alexy, who qualified for the USA swimming team for the 2024 Paris Olympics. The University of California alum reflected on his disappointment by reacting to the post in the comments section.
"Thanks for the shoutout 馃檶馃敟馃檶 ," he wrote.
Olympic champion Katie Ledecky is headlining the event this week. Other Olympic stars included in the lineup are Kate Douglass, Torri Huske, Bobby Finke, Ryan Murphy, Caeleb Dressel, and Gretchen Walsh. Joining them are Katie Grimes and Alex Walsh.
The meet is set to start on Wednesday for an exciting four-day event. Approximately 600 USA Swimming athletes are part of the event, which serves as the qualification for the 2026 World Aquatics Swimming Championships (25m).
Jack Alexy is also competing in the event, but the USA Swimming snub on Instagram ahead of the event did not sit well with him. However, keeping all this aside, ahead of the event, he enjoyed some downtime playing golf to relax.
Alexy Offers a Glimpse of "Electric sequence" Ahead of the TYR Pro Swim Series Indianapolis
Jack Alexy enjoyed some downtime, having a relaxing outing with his friends ahead of the Indianapolis event. He offered a glimpse of the outing with his fans on his Instagram account, where he boasts around 29.9K followers, last week. He shared the post with a two-word caption.
"Electric sequence," he wrote.
Alexy had fun with his family members and friends and shared a few pictures with them, along with a snap of him playing golf in the 11th slide of the post. He also added another snap showing himself enjoying a hot dog meal on the greens in the last slide of the post.
Jack Alexy is coming to Indianapolis after delivering strong performances this season. He won gold in the men's 100m freestyle at the 2026 China Open Swimming Championships earlier in March. He finished the race in 47.70. In the same event, he won silver in the men's 50m freestyle.
Last month, he raced at the 2026 Mare Nostrum Canet in France and was seventh in the men's 50m freestyle. He has had a decent performance in his last outing, and it would be interesting to see how things unfold for him in the upcoming TYR Pro Swim Series Indianapolis, which will have its conclusion on Saturday, June 20.
